SOPHIE POWELL

Sophie Powell is a Workshop Instructor for Abroad. She Published, 'The Mushroom Man', (Putnam Penguin) in 2003 (hardback) 2004 (paperback). Currently completing second novel 'Ancient Greek Summer School' and she has co-authored a novel, 'Chasing Tale', which is currently in publication. Published Short-Stories: The May Anthologies, 2001 (Varsity/Cherwell). Sophie received her BA in Classics at Trinity College, Cambridge University and her MFA in Creative Writing at New York University in 2003.

Awards
	Creative Writing Fellowship, New York University. Starworks Teaching Fellowship, Trinity College, Cambridge University Junior Scholar.

Currently, she is an Adjunct professor in Creative Writing at New York University and she is teaching classes at The New School and Manhattan College.
